Weekly Offerings
Weekly Offertory Envelopes are available for use. Please speak to Father Stefan if you would like a supply.

Gift Aid Scheme
The Catholic Church is registered as a charity. It is allowed by law to claim back from the government the tax that you have paid on your donations to the Parish – but only if you gift aid that donation.

Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of your offertory to the Parish and at no extra cost to you. If you pay tax in the UK, the parish can reclaim the basic rate tax (25%) on your gift. So, if you donate £100, it is worth £125 to the parish.

The procedure is really quite easy and straightforward. You complete a simple form called a Gift Aid Declaration. It is a statement by you as a taxpayer that you want the parish to receive the tax paid on your donation back from the government.

You can contribute via the Sunday Mass collections through the weekly offertory envelopes or by standing order arrangement with your bank or building society.

To simplify matters for both you and the Parish, the declaration wording covers present, future and past donations. The Parish can back-claim four years and will continue to claim until you say otherwise, so long as you are eligible. To be eligible you must be a taxpayer and let the parish know if you no longer pay tax.
If you would like to join the Parish Gift Aid Scheme please print a Gift Aid Declaration Form, complete it and post it to the Parish Priest at the Presbytery, 22 Cobham Road, Halesowen, West Midlands B63 3JZ.

Mass intentions
The very best way to help and pray for a loved one (living or dead) is to have Mass said for them. To have Mass said, take a Mass envelope, write the details on it and place your offering inside. A Mass offering (stipend) is supposed to keep a priest who says your Mass for a day! It is therefore a voluntary personal gift to the priest for saying the Mass, but there is absolutely no requirement to make any gift at all. John Conlan, the Parish Treasurer has provided more information here

Legacies
Would you consider remembering the Parish in your will please? It is part of our Christian mission to preserve the Church for our children and grandchildren, and leaving a modest legacy in your will to the Parish is one way of doing this. It is an opportunity to give after we have gone to the Lord that which we may not have been able to give in life. For more information about legacy giving click here. Please speak to Father Stefan if this is something you would like to consider.
